What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2017 Ford F-550 Sd, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHILE DRIVING THE TRUCK DOWN THE INTERSTATE THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE AND THE TRUCK WILL BEGIN TO LOSE SPEED AND THE ENGINE WILL DIE, RESULTING IN DIFFICULT STEERING AND BRAKING. THE FORD DEALER HAS INDICATED THIS ISSUE IS BEING CAUSED BY WATER CONTAMINATION IN THE FUEL, ALTHOUGH THE WATER IN FUEL LIGHT HAS NEVER BEEN ON AND THE DEALERSHIP NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE ANY CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE OF WATER CONTAMINATION.
