2016 Forest River Blue Ridge Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

MICROWAVE/CONVECTION OVEN COULD CAUSE A POSSIBLE FIRE. EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE WHEN USING THE CONVECTION OVEN, I COULD SMELL SOMETHING BURNING. WE STARTED HAVING SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE UNIT WHERE IT WOULDN'T TURN ON PROPERLY. FURRION COMPANY SAID IT COULD BE A FAULTY DOOR SWITCH. WE DECIDED TO REPLACE THE OVEN AND WHEN IT WAS TAKEN OUT, BEHIND THE UNIT WERE BURN MARKS. IT HAD BURNED THE WALLPAPER AND SCORCHED THE WOOD. ATTACHED ARE PICTURES. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A MAJOR FIRE IN THE RV UNIT. WE INSTALLED A PIECE OF SHEET METAL ON THE NEW MICROWAVE SO THAT THIS COULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
