What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2018 Forest River Sonoma, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
DAMAGED WIRING BEHIND CEILING AND WALL PANEL IN THE TRAVEL TRAILER BEDROOM. A SCREW WAS RUN THROUGH THE 110V WIRING IN THE CEILING. A 110V WIRE WAS PINCHED BETWEEN TWO STUDS IN THE FRAME A 110V WIRE HAD DAMAGED INSULATION NEAR INTERSECTION OF THE CEILING AND WALL THE SERVICE REP AT THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THIS REPRESENTED MAJOR DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND WAS A FIRE HAZARD. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS ONLY A POTENTIAL FOR FIRE AND NO ACTUAL INCIDENT AROSE FROM THESE CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS. I DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE OF THE SCREW THROUGH THE WIRE, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ONLY PROVIDED ME WITH THE TWO ATTACHED PHOTOS. I ALSO HAVE A VOICEMAIL FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DETAILING THE EXTENT AND RISK POTENTIAL OF THIS DEFECT, BUT IT IS OF A FILE TYPE THAT CANNOT BE UPLOADED. I'M HAPPY TO PROVIDE THAT RECORDING AS WELL IF ANOTHER SUBMISSION METHOD IS AVAILABLE.
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
