2001 Four Winds Chateau Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

THE MOTOR HOME DOES NOT TAPER UP IN THE REAR. AS A RESULT WHEN THE CONSUMER PULLED INTO A PARKING LOTS THE REAR OF THE HOME COLLIDED WITH THE GROUND AND CAUSED THE FRAME TO BEND. IT WAS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT THE SEAL AROUND THE WATER HEATER CRACKED WHICH ALLOWED CARBON MONOXIDE FUMES TO ENTER THE LIVING QUARTERS. CONSUMER BELIEVES MOTOR HOME HAS A DESIGN DEFECT. THE MOTOR HOME IS A 2001 CHATEAU 31Z WITH A FORD CHASSIS. *NLM *TT
