2000 Four Winds Dutchmen Express Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THIS VEHICLE IS A RUST BUCKET...THE MANUFACTURE FAILED TO USE PROPER RUST COATING, BOTH IN THE UNDERCARRIAGE, AND ON THE OTHER PARTS OF THE VEHICLE. BECAUSE OF THE FAILURE OF THE MANUFACTURE, STRUCTURAL ASPECTS OF THE VEHICLE ARE COMPROMISED, WHICH COULD CAUSE CRASHES, AND DEATH. RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE LOWER SUSPENSION ARM AS IT WAS RUSTED THROUGH, HAVE HAD BRAKE LINES REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE RUST. DID CONTACT THOR MOTOR COACHES, THE MANUFACTURER, SHOWED PICTURES OF THE VEHICLE AND DESCRIBED THE CONDITION OF THE UNDER CARRIAGE, I ASKED THEM TO SEND SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE TO DETERMINE IF MY VEHICLE WAS JUST AN ABERRATION/SINGLE LEMON OR WAS MY PROBLEM SYMPTOMATIC OF ALL VEHICLES PRODUCED. THEY REFUSED. *TR
