What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2003 Gulf Stream B Touring Cruiser, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

BRAND NAME: DOMETIC PART NO. OR MODEL NO.: RM2652 PRODUCTION DATES: INFORMATION NOT AVAILABLE MANUFACTURER: DOMETIC CORPORATION MFR'S REPORT DATE: APR 11, 2008 NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 08E032000 N/A NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: N/A COMPONENT: EQUIPMENT POTENTIAL NUMBER OF UNITS AFFECTED: 745574 TOOK MY RV TO A DOMETIC AUTHORIZED DEALER TO REPAIR THE REFRIGERATOR THAT IS UNDER A RECALL. THEY WOULDN'T REPAIR IT AND TOLD ME TO JUST BUY A NEW REFRIGERATOR. I FOLLOWED ALL STEPS SUGGESTED ON THE DOMETIC WEB SITE TO TURN OFF THE REFRIGERATOR THE MINUTE I REALIZED THERE WAS A RECALL AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS A HAZARD. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS TURNED OFF, WHILE WAITING THE TWO WEEKS FOR THE REPAIR APPOINTMENT AMMONIA LEAKED OUT OF THE REFRIGERATOR. THE RECALL DESCRIPTION LISTS LEAKAGE AS ONE OF THE SYMPTOMS TO BE OBSERVED THAT INDICATES A NEED FOR RECALL REPAIR. SO EVEN THOUGH IT LEAKED AMMONIA IT IS STILL COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
