2012 Gulf Stream Vista Cruiser Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

NINE MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE, WE NOTICED EXTREME WEAR ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAMPER TIRES. WE HAD PUT APPROXIMATELY 2600 MILES ON THE CAMPER AT THAT TIME. LIPPERT REPLACED THE BENT AXLE AND THE TIRES. AFTER ANOTHER 11 MONTHS WE NOTICED WEAR ON THE INSIDE OF OUR TIRES AGAIN. THE TRAILER IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER AND GULF STREAM HAS OFFERED TO REPLACE THE AXLE BUT NOT THE TIRES AND THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR LABOR. APPEARS THE CAMPER HAS DESIGN FLAWS CAUSING SUSPENSION ISSUES. HAD WE NOT NOTICED THE TIRE WEAR WE COULD HAVE EASILY EXPERIENCED A BLOW OUT DURING TRAVEL. HAVING NOTICED MULTIPLE ON-LINE FORUMS OUTLINING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THE VISA SUSPENSION, INCLUDING TIRE BLOW OUTS, I HAVE SAFETY CONCERNS REGARDING TRAVELING WITH THE CAMPER. *TR
