TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FLHPI HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING AT 15 MPH AND ATTEMPTING TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC, THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ON THE VEHICLE FAILED, AS WELL AS THE BRAKES. THE CONTACT WAS THROWN FROM THE VEHICLE AND SUFFERED SEVERE HEAD INJURIES. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS IN A COMA FOR 3 MONTHS. BEFORE THE CRASH OCCURRED, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL NOTICE ID NUMBER 04V134000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS) AND STATED THAT THE RECALLED PART CONTRIBUTED TO THE CRASH. THE POLICE REPORT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER DISAGREED AND STATED THAT HE CRASH WAS POTENTIALLY DUE TO DRIVER ERROR AND WOULD PROVIDE NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLHPI. WHILE DRIVING 55-70 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HIS TAIL LIGHT WAS FLICKERING INTERMITTENTLY. HE ADDED DIELECTRIC GREASE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE FAILURE CEASED. HE RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE # 04V218000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS). HARLEY DAVIDSON STATED THAT IT WAS THE THIRD NOTICE THAT WAS SENT, HOWEVER THE CONTACT STATED IT WAS HIS FIRST. THE SAME INCIDENT OCCURRED YEARS PRIOR FOR HIS 1994 HARLEY DAVIDSON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HARLEY DAVIDSON IS NOT KEEPING THEIR WORD. THE POWERTRAIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 10,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. UPDATED 08/01/07 *TR
