2006 Harley-Davidson Flstci Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

VEHICLE DOES NOT LIKE TO IDLE WHEN COLD. ALSO SPURATICLY STALLES GOING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS IS A SAFTY HAZARD BECAUSE YOU MAY BE JUST IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION OR GOING THREW CURVES. THERE MAY BE A SMALL HICKUP JUST BEFORE IT QUITES. THEN THE BIKE STARTS HARD AND SOMETIMES IT MAY BE SEVERAL MINUETS UNTILE IT WILL RESTART. HARLEY DAVIDSON HAS A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS PROBLEM BUT THE REPAIR CENTERS DON'T HELP WITH IT. I HAVE BEEN ALMOST HIT BECAUSE OF THIS.....THIS HAS GONE ON FOR ALMOST FOUR YEARS AND I HAVE HAD IT AT 3 DIFFERENT SHOPS. THEY KEEP TELLING ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG.. NOT ANY SHOP NOR HARLEY REP MENTIONED THERE WAS A SITUATION AND THAT THE REPAIR WAS KNOW., KNOW THAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE SERVICE BULLETIN THEY ARE SAYING THAT IT'S NOT A REAL PROBLEM. HOW MANY OTHER ARE THERE. THIS IS ON A 2006 FLSTCI MOTORCYCLE BY HARLEY DAVIDSON. *CN

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
