2016 Harley-Davidson Flstfbs Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I DID A 300-MILE MOTORCYCLE TRIP OVER THE WEEKEND, JUST A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND I TOOK MY NEW MOTORCYCLE IN FOR ITS 1000 MILE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE MONDAY. WHEN DROPPING IT OFF, I NOTICED THE REAR BRAKE FELT A LITTLE SOFTER THAN BEFORE, BUT WAS STILL OPERABLE. WHEN I RETURNED TO PICK UP MY MOTORCYCLE ON TUESDAY, UPON COMPLETION OF THE SERVICE, THE MAINTENANCE TECH SHOWED ME HOW THE REAR MASTER CYLINDER WAS CRACKED AND UNABLE TO HOLD BRAKE FLUID. ADDITIONALLY, HE SHOWED ME THAT THE PART WAS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC.
