Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Thank god it didn't happen while I was riding the practically new motorcycle I had less than 6 months. Something happened to the clutch cable in the transmission housing after a long group ride which could have resulted in a serious accident if it was in gear and in motion when it gave way. After a ride, I parked the motorcycle, then when ready to ride again I started the motor and grabbed the clutch lever only to have it freely move and not have any control over the clutch at all. Good thing I was not in motion or this would have created a serious accident. That said, it is a serious safety concern. I have barely 1,000 miles on the motorcycle which is a 2021 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114 FXBBS On another note, The kickstand paint has already chipped off and rusted. The rims/wheels have visible rust in the spokes already as well. Another concern is the rear brake requires adjustment when new to get more leverage to work and it still feels very spongy and does not slow well on it's own. This is a common complaint I have read about online as well.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
