What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2018 Harley-Davidson Fxfb, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Fuel system
Reports naming fuel storage or delivery — tanks, pumps, lines, injectors and fuel leaks.
From owner reports, verbatim
Suddenly when riding the motorcycle I discovered a massive fuel leak from the gas cap on to the front cylinder head. I immediately pulled over and inspected the gas cap for tightness. I found that the gasoline cap was sufficiently tight and the sealing surface of the o-ring was okay as well. The gasoline appears to be leaking from the center of the cap where it pops out and lets you turn it. I was not able to tighten the cap in a way that would stop fuel from flowing out of it. I can’t see any seals inside the cap and don’t want to inspect and damage it if this would be beneficial for Harley Davidson to inspect. I am able to duplicate the failure every time I tilt the motorcycle side to side.
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
