2019 Harley-Davidson Fxfbs Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Speedometer and it is mounted to my motorcycle but it can be viewed if needed. Safety is at risk as the speedometer is fogging up while riding in various weather conditions and when riding at elevation to the point where the traveling speed of the motorcycle is not visible and fuel level cannot be seen which could create a safety risk if going into a corner/turn to fast and now knowing what speed you are traveling at or knowing what fuel level you are at. Issue was reproduced upon a visual inspection at dealership and showing photos to a service advisor however condensation cleared and it was not checked in for repair. Issue occurs more so when riding and not when the bike is stationary making it difficult to replicate on command. I sent another dealership photos and was advised by a service advisor that Harley-Davidson is aware of the issue however has no fix and describes it as "normal" yet MULTIPLE people have had their gauges replaced and have the same experience I do with the speedometer fogging to the point where information cannot be seen on it. Warning lamps for issue are not applicable.
