2003 Harley-Davidson Fxst Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

REAR PULLEY CAME APART WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH ON A CITY STREET. INNER SHIELD HAS COME APART FROM THE SPROCKET (SHIELD IS STEEL AND STAKED ONTO THE ALUMINUM SPROCKET). BELT HAS A LOT OF PLAY NOW AND MIGHT SLIP OFF THE SPROCKET. I GOOGLED THIS ISSUE AND FOUND THAT I`M NOT THE FIRST ONE TO ENCOUNTER THIS ISSUE. *TR
