The contact owns a 2022 Harley-Davidson RH1250S. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V590000 (Steering); however, the failure occurred after the recall repair. While being test ridden at an undisclosed speed, the steering seized, causing a loss in maintaining the intended direction. The failure nearly caused a crash. The motorcycle rider stopped at a gas station and noticed an unknown metal part had detached and lodged in the upper triple clamp with the bolts detached. The motorcycle was ridden to the residence. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 6,950.

The contact owns a 2022 Harley-Davidson RH1250 S. The contact stated that while riding at an undisclosed speed, the motorcycle lost automotive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The motorcycle was towed to the dealer, and it was determined that the camshaft sensor had caused damages to the engine, and that the engine needed to be replaced. The motorcycle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the motorcycle was no longer covered under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 200.

Harley Davidson Panamerica bikes have a problem with their internal clutch system When the bike gets hot and you at a stop it can be impossible to get it into neutral. when attempting this it will just go to 2end or first with a verry hard shift. the dealer informed me that it is a known defect in the clutch. they said the designer just dint take the time needed. so, the dealers are aware.

After owning my motorcycle for less than a year and only having 4211 miles on it, and taking it to the Harley dealership they determined that the 4th gear exploded and sent shrapnel throughout the engine and oil pump. The bike is outside manufacturer warranty and Harley(the company) won’t admit that this was a defect on their end, although the dealership repair tech did say that he thought it could have been due to a defective part.

The steering stop ( right one ) located at the Lower Triple Clamp broke off, No drops or any harsh movements where involved, motorcycle has few hundred miles in it.. There is no stop on how much one can turn the steering towards the left now.. It recently passed VA Inspection. No warning or signs that this issue was going to happened. I see many people have the same issue with the same model of motorcycle.
