THE SOLID WHEELS ON MY 2005 HARLEY-DAVIDSON VRSCA MOTORCYCLE ARE A SAFETY HAZARD ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS WHENEVER I GET CAUGHT IN THE "WAKE" OF ANY LARGER VEHICHLES PASSING ME OR WHENVER I PASS LARGER VEHICLES AND WHENEVER THERE IS A CROSS WIND ON ANY ROAD OR HIGHWAY. THESE WHEELS (FRONT AND BACK) CATCH THE WIND AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO WOBBLE. ON ONE OCASSION RECENTLY, I WAS ON INTERSTATE 10 IN TRAFFIC AND THERE WAS ALSO A CROSSWIND. IT WAS MOST DISTRESSING TO HAVE TO CONSTANTLY CORRECT FOR THE CROSS WIND AND THE TURBULENCE FROM (ESPECIALLY) S.U.V.'S & 18 WHEELER'S WHENEVER I PASSED OR WAS PASSED. THIS IS A DAILY OCCURANCE (WHEN THERE IS A CROSSWIND) OR ON THE HIGHWAY. *AK

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.

Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
