What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2021 Harley-Davidson XL883N, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
On August 16 around 7:00 pm I was riding my motorcycle on Emmett road. I went down one of the slops and there was a corner coming up so I tried to break with my front brake and it had no pressure, I contentiously squeezed the front brake but it wasn't gaining enough pressure to activate the brakes. I then tried to use my rear brake and it had pressure but it didn't work correctly and failed as well. I dropped a few gears to try and slow down with the engine rmps but bu that time it was to late and I hit the gravel on the side of the road so I wouldn't crash on the pavement and risk getting even more injured. I was rushed to the hospital and later that week retrieved my bike from the towing company.
