RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM HARBOR FREIGHT - NHTSA RECALL 17V-638 ON NOV 24, 2017. ITS NOW FEB 17, 2018. LOCAL MELBOURNE FL STORE DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT TIRES, HF CORP CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN EMAILED, RESPONDED TIRES ARE ON BACKORDER, NO FIRM DATE AS TO WHEN THEY MAY BE RECEIVED. RESPONDED THIS IS A SAFETY RECALL, WHAT IS THE COURSE OF ACTION WHILE TIRES ARE ON BO. TOLD, SORRY BUT UNTIL TIRES ARE RECEIVED NOTHING CAN BE DONE, THAT WAS A MONTH AGO. THE LETTER FROM HF STATES IF TIRES ARE NOT REPLACED IN 60 DAYS, NOTIFY NHTSB. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS EXPERIENCING TIRE TREAD SEPARATION BECAUSE OF THE DEFECT. THE CONTACT CONTACTED HARBOR FREIGHT AND WAS TOLD PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE.
