2015 Haul Master Utility Trailer Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The contact stated that while hauling the trailer with an unstated vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed, while the trailer was empty, and the suspension was jumping and bouncing. The wheels and axle were grabbing, seizing, and unlocking the brakes. The vehicle lunged forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ABS brakes, drums, air bags, brake chambers, hanger bushings, and brake shoes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
