2005 Holiday Rambler Admiral SE Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

2005 W 20 WORKHORSE RV. BOSCH BRAKE SYSTEM. BRAKES LOCKED UP. VEHICLE STRANDED. AFTER COOL DOWN, COULD DRIVE ABOUT A MILE BEFORE LOCK UP AGAIN. TOOK 4.5 HOURS USING THIS PROCEDURE TO GET BACK HOME. RV WENT IN FOR REPAIRS BUT CENTER WOULD ONLY REPLACE ONE CALIPER. SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN THIS WEEKEND AND RV IS NOW BACK AT REPAIR CENTER. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT & BLOCK TRAFFIC. THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE ALL 4 BRAKE CALIPERS AT ONE TIME. THEY SAY I MUST DRIVE UNTIL BREAK DOWN OCCURS THEN CALL THEM DURING BUSINESS HOURS-M-F 8-5. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON FLORIDA TURNPIKE A SHORT DISTANCE FROM HOME EXPERIENCED VIBRATION IN RIGHT FRONT WHEEL PULLED OVER AND DETERMINED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE WAS EXTREMELY HOT WITH THE DISTINCTIVE ODOR OF HOT BRAKES. THE OTHER WHEELS ALSO WERE WARM .DETERMINED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT WAS LOCKED UP. AFTER COOLING OFF MADE IT TO A LOCAL RELIABLE REPAIR SHOP WITH THE ABS LIGHT ON. WORKHORSE CALIPER LOCATED AND SEVEN DAYS LATER THE RIGHT FRONT CALIPER PADS BRAKE LINE HOSE REPLACED. THE SHOPS COMPUTER ANALYZER COULD NOT CLEAR THE CODES AND AT THAT TIME I DIRECTED BY WORKHORSE TO PROCEED TO A WORKHORSE DEALER . THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT THE THREE REMAINING WHEELS HAD ALSO SUSTAINED EXTREME HEAT DAMAGE WITH THE ABS SENSORS MELTED OFF THE OTHER WHEELS AND THE CALIPERS NEEDING REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE AWAITING REPAIR OF THE OTHER THREE CALIPERS. THE REPLACED CALIPER SHOULD BE AVAILABLE. *TR

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
