THERE WAS A RECALL, STARTING MARCH 2014 FOR ROCKER ARM RETAINING BOLT. MY BOLT CAME OUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT, ALLOWING SHAFT TO COME PART WAY OUT ALONG WITH SOME OIL. BOLT IS GONE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THREADS ARE RUINED. I AM GLAD ENGINE DID NOT LOCK UP AS IT IS A MOTORCYCLE.

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
STEERING; STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR
Service news article - To prevent damage during shipping, leather-wrapped steering wheels come with a protective plastic covering. The easiest way to remove it during PDI is to grab the covering with both hands near the top of the steering wheel and pull it toward you, like you see here. The covering comes right off.

DEALER MESSAGE - PARTS ARE AVAILABLE ON OPEN ORDER FROM AUGUST 28, 2015. AHM INTENDS TO MAIL CUSTOMER LETTERS AROUND MID-SEPTEMBER, 2015 PENDING REGULATORY AGENCY APPROVALS. SAFETY RECALL: CB/CBR500 #2 INCLUDES THE AFFECTED MODELS AND VIN RANGES, REPAIR PROCEDURE, PARTS INFORMATION, AS WELL AS WARRANTY CLAIM INFORMATION.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
Compare model years
Complaint and recall counts across every year of this model
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
