2018 Honda CBR1000RR Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The part has not failed yet. As soon as I received the recall notice and safety concerns, I stopped riding the motorcycle. I am filing a complaint because it has been two months, I have called the local dealership multiple times, and they are still unable to correct the issue. I am still required to make my loan payments and keep updated insurance on a motorcycle that is unsafe to ride. There needs to be more done than just being told not to ride due to safety concerns, i.e. reimbursement, financing assistance, purchasing the motorcycle back from the owner etc.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
