2022 Honda Civic SI Problems

Steering wheel clicks/sticks while driving Seatbelt will not retract properly ever Driver Seat squeaks with every turn

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Civic SI. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V744000 (STEERING); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel independently veered to the right. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that a diagnostic test was needed before the recall repair could be performed. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

Steering is "notchy" and seems to stick. It is most noticable at highway speeds where small left and right movements are very difficult to make, feeling like I am fighting the steering to keep the car from wandering around in the lane. The cruise control shuts off randomly and refuses to be turned back on until the car is shut off and back on. It turns off abruptly and causes the car to suddenly start slowing down which is concerning on the interstate.

Hello, My concern lies with the Electronic Power Steering. My car physically is all over the play when it comes to making minor adjustments to the steering. The steering goes from being quite difficult to make minor adjustments to overreacting, causing me to ping pong side to side on the highway. This issue is magnified with the use of Lane Keep Assist, which cannot keep me centered on the road. This is a major issue. My lane keep assist and blind spot system keep failing and warning me to visit a dealer.

The head gasket was failing and the spark plugs were enduring spark blowout and the car was misfiring occasionally I tried entering the highway and as I was merging to the highway and getting up to speed the car suddenly starting flashing the check engine light and wouldn’t accelerate anymore when I gave it gas as I was entering the highway and a big truck towing vehicles was coming so I had to get to the emergency lane and stop the vehicle and the trucker had to slam on his brakes When my car was supposed to accelerate it completely shut down and started slowing down. Causing a dangerous situation

I was commuting to work when my engine experienced catastrophic failure and was stuck on the interstate. Prior to this, the engine was making audible "ticking" sounds which are indicative of rod bearing failure. This happens from poorly lubricated parts and is a direct result of Honda of America requiring 0w-20 oil in its direct injected earth dreams motors. These earth dream engines have had a proven reputation for having oil dilution problems that cause catastrophic engine failure since 2016. Other subsidiaries of Honda around the world recommend 5w-30 oil, or thicker oil, in the same exact motors. It's because of this that Honda of America receives the most complaints for catastrophic engine failure for its 1.5L earth dreams motors. My warranty got denied because Honda determined that the cause of failure was due to a modified engine control unit. The problem is that Honda would not look into or rule out other causes of failure and instead put liability for repairs on me the consumer. They would not take apart the engine for examination and instead just performed a visual inspection and a scan of the engine's power control module. Furthmore, Honda of America would not disclose any technical information to me that proved any modifications made to the car caused the problem. In other words, they would not release information to me that they had on a vehicle I own. All that was discovered from their PCM scan was that it was modified. Since Honda of America and it's dealerships are the only authorities that govern their warranty claims, they will not let me dispute their decision. Because Honda of America refused to perform a proper root cause analysis with their warranty claims, it tampers with the integrity of the entire maintenance data documentation system. In other words, Honda technicians will never be able to recognize a common product issue if Honda of America continues to put liability and blame on the customer for any non disputable reason they claim.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic power steering assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact believed that the failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V734000 (Electrical System). The failure mileage was 8,000.

Sticky steering and it makes micro adjustments at highway speeds dangerous. Hard to keep in my chosen driving line safely. Not as noticeable at slower speeds. Theres plenty of complaints mentioned in forums. Glad im not the only person its happening to. Some dealers are replacing steering racks supposedly. I havent taken mine in yet because i need my vehicle for work. Not sure what i should do honestly. Low oil pressure light has randomly come on 4 times since ownin car also. Pull over let it sit and check oil, its fine and it doesnt come back on.

For about 4 months now my steering in my Honda has been not keeping my vehicle straight going down the road and pulls to the left alot. The dealer said it was nothing but I do remember many years ago I had problems with another vehicle and it turn out the Rack wasn't working propertly and the dealer seems to not know anything proper in steering of a vehicle. There have been many times it seems jerky and like the front end is lifted off the ground and not proforming like it should be. Also I having noticeable trouble keeping the car in the lane at speeds of 30-70 mph. A few time I almost hit another vehicle on my left side due to this problem.
