ENGINE ALWAYS NEEDED OIL. EVEN WHEN NEW IT USED 1 QUART A WEEK. NOW 13 YEARS LATER THE CAR USES 2 QUARTS OF OIL A DAY AND RUNS VERY POORLY. A MECHANIC STATED I NEED A NEW ENGINE. THE ENGINE IS IRREPARABLE. *NM
CONSUMER SAW OIL ON THE FLOOR OF THE GARAGE. CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALER FOR INSPECTION. VEHICLE WAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED, AND WAS NOT INCLUDED IN CAM SHAFT SENSOR RECALL 94V132000, WHICH WAS TEN YEARS OLD. *AK

VEHICLE HAS ABS BRAKES. FRONT BRAKE ROTORS HAVE EXCESSIVE WEAR AND MUST BE REPLACED EVERY 6 MONTHS. CAUSE UNKNOWN.

Seat belts

CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, AND VEHICLE WENT DOWN AN EMBANKMENT, THEN ROLLED OVER. DRIVER'S SEAT BELT RELEASED, AND DRIVER WAS EJECTED FROM VEHICLE. SHE SUFFERED A BROKEN ARM AND HEAD INJURIES. FRONT PASSENGER WAS INJURED, NOT SEVERLY DUE TO SEATBELT ALSO RELEASING. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED. *AK

WHILE DRIVING A SPARK PLUG ON CYLINDER #4 SHOT THROUGH MY AIR FILTER CAME OFF, OIL LEAKING THROUGHOUT ENGINE AND ALL SPARK PLUGS WERE LOOSE. FELT THERE MAY BE A RECALL ON IT. CONSUMER STATED THERE WAS RECALL 94 V 132 000 FOR CAMSHAFT, BUT CONSUMER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED DUE TO VIN. *AK THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START SOME TIMES, POSSIBLY DIE TO THE PROBLEM RELATED TO OIL LEAK. *YH

Driver assistance

WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS THE VEHICLE STARTED TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN WITH OUT PRESSING ACCELERATOR. CONSUMER STATES AFTER TAPPING ON BRAKE VEHICLE STILL WOULD NOT SLOW DOWN. CONSUMER HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP VEHICLE. DEALER REPLACED THE ACCELERATER CABLE. PLEASE DESCRIBE FURTHER. TS
STARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER REFUELING AT A GAS STATION. WHEN I SHIFTED INTO DRIVE THE ENGINE SPED UP AND SURGED FORWARD. SINCE I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE THE VEHICLE DIDN'T MOVE BUT THE FORCE WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO CAUSE SQUEALING AND A CLUNK OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE TACK WAS RACING AND THEN DROPPED DOWN TO NORMAL. ALL OF THIS OCCURRED WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL. THIS HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME TODAY. I STARTED THE CAR A SECOND TIME AND THE ENGINE RACED FOR SEVERAL SECONDS BEFORE SLOWING DOWN.

I HAD BOTH DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS SIDE REAR AXLE SEALS REPLACED ONCE AND NOW I NEED ANOTHER PASSENGER SIDE REPLACED IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I READ THAT THE 1995 AND 1996 MODELS HAVE THIS PROBLEM. I DO NOT ABUSE THE TRUCK AND MY BELIEF IT IS A MANUFACTORING DEFECT.*AK
