The defect: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 (CMX1100) motorcycles. The radiator cap may have been improperly formed during manufacturing, which could create an insufficient seal.
The risk: An insufficiently sealed radiator cap may leak or spray hot coolant, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the radiator cap and refill any lost coolant, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 22, 2022. Owners may contact Honda service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is KN1.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
