Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Hummer H2, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

REAR WINDOW ON DRIVER SIDE, CABLE SNAPPED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. IT WAS RAINING HEAVY AND I HAD TO RIDE WITH THE WINDOW DOWN FOR 13 HOURS TILL I GOT HOME. TONIGHT, IT'S THE 4TH OF JULY, TOOK MY KIDS TO SEE FIREWORKS.. ROLLED THE WINDOW DOWN FOR THEM TO WATCH, HEARD A POP. NATURALLY I WAS OUT OF TOWN AND HAD TO TO RIDE HOME LIKE THAT..
ABS /. TRACTION CONTROL. BOTH LIGHTS ON AT THE MESSAGE CENTER OF THE DASH BOARD. SIMULTANEOUSLY THESE TWO LIGHT COME ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. MEANING THEY COME ON TOGETHER, SOMETIMES WHEN I HIT A SPEED BUMP AND THEN THEY GO OUT FOR SOMETIMES 1 MONTH OR 4 MONTHS EACH TIME RANDOMLY. ALWAYS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING OR IN OPERATION.

I HAVE A 2007 H2 HUMMER THAT WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY YESTERDAY AND MY NEIGHBOR NOTICED THAT IT WAS ON FIRE. IT WAS SITTING THERE WITH NO KEYS IN IT, TURNED OFF, NOT EVEN GONE ANYWHERE THE WHOLE DAY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT STARTED BEHIND THE DASH OR BACK OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. IT IS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. DO YOU WANT THIS VEHICLE FOR YOUR INVESTIGATION? THANK GOD IT WASN'T IN MY GARAGE OR MY KIDS WEREN'T IN IT. *TR

THE RIGHT ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD ON PASSENGER SIDE LEAKS WATER INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. WATER RUNS DOWN THE WINDOW TO THE DASH BOARD GOES BEYOND THE DASH DOWN THROUGH THE FIREWALL AND IN THE GLOVE BOX THRU THE GLOVE BOX AND DRIPS ONTO THE AIR COMPRESSOR CAUSING THE PART TO BREAK, THUS CAUSING THE DASH BOARD AND ALL THE COMPONENTS TO OVER HEAT BECAUSE THE FAN DOES NOT WORK TO COOL THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT BOARDS ASSOCIATED WITH. ALL THE DASH BOARD FEATURES. PLUS THE AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT WORK EITHER AS A RESULT OF THE LEAK. MOLD AND MILDEW ALL THROUGHOUT THE CAR UNDER THE DASH AND THE SMELL IS AWFUL.
