2009 Hummer H3 Body & structure Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the body or structure system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Body & structure reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

IN 2010 HUMMER HAD A HOOD VENT RECALL , AND THE FIX WAS APPLYING GLUE STRIPS TO IT, THIS FIX WAS NOT ADEQUATE , AS THE PROBLEM IS STILL EXISTING . THIS POSES YET ANOTHER SAFETY ISSUE. I CONTACTED GM/ HUMMER, WHO REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING FURTHER, CASE NUMBER 8-3873446239. ON HUMMER FORUM.COM. THEIR ARE MANY OF US WHO ALSO HAVE THIS ISSUE, THAT THE RECALL FIX WAS NO GOOD. THE HOOD LOUVER VENT SITS ON TOP OF THE HOOD, AND WHEN IT COMES LOOSE, IT CAN FLY OFF, HITTING ANOTHER MOTOR VEHICLE.
