2009 Ic 3000 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I REPLACED THE OEM FRONT KSMA2124702QP MERITOR BRAKES WITH THE NEW KSMA20014702QP REDUCED STOPPING DISTANCE MERITOR FRONT BRAKES AND AFTER ONLY 1060 MILES SAW THE LINING MATERIAL MOVING (BACK AND FORTH MOVEMENT) ON THE STEEL TABLE WHEN APPLYING AND RELEASING THE FOOT BRAKE WITH 95PSI IN SYSTEM WHILE LOOKING THROUGH THE BACKING PLATE! APPEARING TO BE LOOSE RIVETS HOLDING MATERIAL TO STEEL TABLE! CALLED MERITOR REPRESENTITIVE AND INFORMED HIM THEY WERE LOOSE! WAS TOLD TO REMOVE THEM AND INSTALL NEW ONES! REMOVED FRONT MERITOR BRAKES KSMA20014702QP AND INSTALLED OEM KSMA2124702QP ON 5-30-12 AND ALL OK AT THIS TIME! *JS

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
