Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT SHARPLY (SUCH AS A 90 DEGREE TURN) THE FRONT FLOORBOARDS DRAG ON THE PAVEMENT. THIS COULD RESULT IN A CRASH OF THE MOTORCYCLE AND INJURY TO THE RIDER & PASSENGER. THE MANUFACTURER HAS INSTITUTED A NEW DESIGN ASSEMBLY FOR THE LATEST MODELS BUT IS NOT OFFERING THE REPAIR TO APPROXIMATELY 1100 1999 MODELS PREVIOUSLY SOLD. THIS IS A GENUINE SAFETY PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE FIXED AT NO COST TO THE CONSUMER.THE MANUFACTURERS ADDRESS IS: INDIAN MOTORCYCLE COMPANY, 200 EAST TENTH STREET, GILROY, CALIFORNIA, 95020 PHONE - 408/847-2221
