2021 Indian Scout Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

From owner reports, verbatim

received a recall dated 12/1/2022 for Campaign 22V837. Have been trying for 3 months to schedule an appointment with the Indian Dealership Maddie's Power Sports in Dansville NY to include using their online customer contact form and received a call 15 FEB from their Sales Agent that he would have Service Department call me. Was able to make contact with service department who stated they will put me on a list to call me around 2 MAY 2023 to hopefully schedule appointment if fuel pump comes in. Called Indian Motorcycle Owner Connections Department and was told is there another shop I can go to and NTTS is already aware of the Problem, there is nothing more they can do. This is an unreasonable time for a repair and will not afford me the option to ride again to mid to late May. I feel that I should be offered a buy back option for the cost of my loan since I am paying for motorcycle i cannot safely drive per NHTS.

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
