The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2022-2025 HX vehicles. The service brake may take longer than expected to release. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
The risk: A delayed brake release can increase the risk of crash.
The remedy: International will install larger air lines or a quick release valve (QRV) as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825.

The defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Lonestar, 2021-2025 RH, HV, MV, LT, HX, and 2022 PROSTAR vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.
The risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2024. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 24515.

The defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2021-2024 International HV, HX, LoneStar, LT, MV, eMV, and RH trucks, and IC Bus CE, 2021-2023 IC Bus RE, and 2022-2023 IC Bus TC Commercial Buses. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator light does not remain illuminated when a malfunction exists, and when the vehicle's ignition switch is on, and the vehicle is in motion. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."
The risk: An ABS indicator light that fails to remain illuminated will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Towing variant vehicles under this campaign will not be repaired under recall 24V-8918. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. The defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2018-2021 International HV, 2019-2021 International RH, 2019-2022 International MV, and 2022 International HX vehicles. A software error in the Body Control Module (BCM) may allow the vehicle to overcome the park brake during power-take-off (PTO) operation.
The risk: A parking brake that does not hold can allow the vehicle to move unexpectedly and increase the risk of a crash or injury.

The defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX vehicles. The tie rod clamps may have been improperly heat-treated, causing them to fail and allowing the tie rods to separate.
The risk: Tie rod separation can result in a sudden loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.

The defect: Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 International HX, HV, LoneStar, LT, MV, RH, IC TC Commercial Bus, and 2022 International WorkStar vehicles. The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly, which can cause the gear to fracture.
The risk: A fractured steering gear can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect the steering gear serial numbers, and replace the steering gears as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2022.
