THE NHTSA WAS PETITION TO COMMENCE A DEFECT INVESTIGATION OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES ON 26-FEB-98.THE PETITION ALLEGES THAT THE THROTTLE STICKS ON HIS CAR AND IT CONTINUES TO GO FORWARD WITH A HIGH SPEED EVEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. A PRELIMINARY EVALUATION (PE98-016) IS OPENED RESULTING FROM THIS PETITION
