STABILIZER BAR SEPARATION

SUMMARY OF INFORMATION FROM MANUFACTURER:FLEETWOOD HAS NO OTHER REPORTSOF STABILIZER PROBLEMS AND STATES THAT GENERAL MOTORS ADVISED THEM THATTHEY HAVE ONLY 9 REPORTS OVER A 2 YEAR PERIOD INVOLVING 37,000 P-30 CHASSISVEHICLES.FLEETWOOD REPORTS THAT IT DOES NOT MODIFY THE STABILIZER BARATTACHMENT AND THAT THE STABILIZER BAR MOUNTING IS BOLTED, NOTED RIVETED ASREPORTED BY THE CONSUMER.FLEETWOOD DOES NOT WARRANT THE STABILIZER BARATTACHMENT.ANALYSIS:THE PROBLEM THE OWNER IS HAVING WITH HIS STABILIZER BAR MOUNTINGAPPEARS TO BE PECULIAR TO HIS VEHICLE AND NOT A TREND.THE OWNERREPORTS THAT THE BOLTS USED TO REPLACE THE RIVETS CONTINUALLY COME LOOSERESULTING IN SOME VEHICLE INSTABILITY DUE TO THE HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY ANDAXLE ROLL CENTERS OF THE MOTORHOME.STATUS:RECOMMEND CLOSING THIS PE. #===
