2007 Itasca Navion Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Itasca Navion, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Engine457.1%

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO EARLY FAILURES ON MERCEDES 642 V6 ENGINE *TGW THE CONSUMER PURCHASED A WINNEBAGO NAVION MOTORHOME WHICH CAME EQUIPPED WITH AN ENGINE MANUFACTURED BY MERCEDES. THE CONSUMER STATED THE RV STARTED TO SHIFT IN A STRANGE MANNER AFTER A FEW HUNDRED MILES, THEN AFTER A THOUSAND MILES, THE SHIFTING BECAME VERY ERRATIC, SO THE CONSUMER DID MOSTLY MANUALLY SHIFTING. AFTER THE EGR WAS REPLACED, THE RV SHIFTED FINE. HOWEVER, AT 23,576 MILES, THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED AND TWO PINS THE HELD THE PUMP IN PLACE FAILED. *JB
THE TURBO RESONATORS ON 2002-2007, 2.7 MERCEDES BENZ DIESEL ENGINES ARE DEFECTIVE! I AM ON MY THIRD ONE, AND I ONLY HAVE 15,000 MILES ON MY ENGINE, WHICH IS IN A 2007 ITASCA NAVION MOTOR HOME. WHEN THEY GO OUT ON THE INTERSTATE, YOU ARE PUT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE YOU CANNOT GO OVER 45 MPH, AND YOU'RE LIFE IS PUT IN DANGER. I HAVE EMAILED MERCEDES BENZ/DODGE/WINNEBAGO AND THEY SAY THEY DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM, BUT THEY DO!! I HAVE GONE ONLINE SEARCHING OUT THIS DEFECT AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS SAME LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION, DUE TO THEIR TURBO RESONATOR GOING BAD. IT SEEMS THAT THIS WARRANTS A RECALL, TO FIX THIS DANGEROUS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND WE NEED YOUR INTERVENTION.. THERE IS A COMPANY THAT MAKES A REPLACEMENT TURBO RESONATOR AND GUARANTEES IT FOR THE LIFE OF THE ENGINE, BUT MERCEDES BENZ NOR DODGE WILL PUT IT ON, INSTEAD THEY KEEP REPLACING IT WITH ONE THAT WILL NOT WITHSTAND THE VIBRATION AND HEAT OF THE TURBO.SO, IN ABOUT 4000 MILES, WHEN IT GOES OUT AGAIN, I PRAY I CAN GET OFF THE ROAD SAFELY, THEN HOPE THERE'S A DODGE DEALER CLOSE BY TO REPAIR IT QUICKLY. PLEASE HELP US BEFORE WE MIGHT BECOME A HIGHWAY STATISTIC. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
