What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2000 Itasca Sunflyer, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

MY 2000 ITASCA SUNFLYER HAS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW. MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IS FOGGED UP ,TO THE EXTENT THAT IT PREVENTS ME FROM SEEING APPROACHING TRAFFIC ON THE PASSENGER SIDE,WHILE USING THE REAR VIEW MIRROR ON THAT SIDE OF THE RV. I BELIEVE THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED BY USING A SAFETY GLASS INSTEAD OF THE THERMOPAINE GLASS PRESENTLY USED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH RV'ERS AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED. *TR
MY 2000 ITASCA SUNFLYER,DEVELOPED A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD,RUNNING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, WHILE SETTING IN SECURED STORAGE. WHEN I HAD IT REPLACED, THE GLASS TECH SAID HE HAS REPLACED SEVERAL WINNEBAGO MOTORHOME, WINDSHIELDS WITH THE SAME TYPE OF GLASS FAILURE AND IT IS CAUSED BUY THE WATER COMING OFF OF THE ROOF AND SETTING BEHIND THE RUBBER MOLDING WHICH SURROUNDS THE WINDSHIELD, RUSTING THE METAL CLIPS WHICH HOLD THE MOLDING IN PLACE. THE RUSTING OF THE MOLDING CLIPS CAUSES THE METAL TO EXPAND PLACING STRESS ON THE WINDSHIELD AND A FRACTURE OF THE GLASS RESULTS. THIS COULD BE PREVENTED BY REPLACING THE METAL CLIPS WITH PLASTIC CLIPS AND APPLYING A PLASTIC GUTTER OVER THE WINDSHIELD AVOIDING THE WATER BUILD-UP.THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
