The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-53. The contact stated that the parking brake made a knocking sound when activated. Occasionally, the parking brake locked up, and the vehicle was restarted. The brake pedal overheated, causing a burning brake odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the brake pedal was adjusted to keep the brake shoe from seizing onto the drum. The brake drum, brake shoes, and hardware were replaced 4 times; however, the failures persisted. The contact learned that the failures had started long before the vehicle was purchased.
