2024 Jayco Precept Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-53. The contact stated that the parking brake made a knocking sound when activated. Occasionally, the parking brake locked up, and the vehicle was restarted. The brake pedal overheated, causing a burning brake odor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the brake pedal was adjusted to keep the brake shoe from seizing onto the drum. The brake drum, brake shoes, and hardware were replaced 4 times; however, the failures persisted. The contact learned that the failures had started long before the vehicle was purchased. The manufacturer was informed of the failures, and a case had been opened. The failure mileage was approximately 2,100
