What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2013 Jayco White Hawk, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

JAYCO SHIPPED EARLY MODEL YEAR WHITE HAWK TRAVEL TRAILERS WITH 2 3/8" AXLES (42" WIDE STANCE AXLE SPACING). DURING TURNING THE WIDE STANCE AXLES ARE BENDING CAUSING DAMAGE TO AXLE, BEARING ASSEMBLY, AND TIRES, BECAUSE THE AXLES CAN'T HOLD UP TO THE WEIGHT . TIRES ARE GETTING EXCESSIVE INSIDE WEAR ON THE INSIDE TREAD, AXLES ARE BENDING, AND IF NOT CAUGHT IN TIME CATCHING FIRE. SEE FORUM: HTTP://WWW.JAYCOOWNERS.COM/FORUMS/SHOWTHREAD.PHP?T=15137 REGARDING OTHER CONSUMERS WITH SAME ISSUE. JAYCO IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND SO IS DEXTER AXLE. DEXTER AXLE IS PROVIDING FULL REPLACEMENT OF AXLES TO A UPGRADED 3" AXLE SIZE TO PREVENT DAMAGE MENTIONED ABOVE, IF THE CONSUMER IS PROACTIVE AND CONTACTS JAYCO AND / OR DEXTER AXLE. JAYCO, AT THIS TIME, REFUSES TO NOTIFY CUSTOMERS OF THIS ISSUE OR ISSUE A RECALL. BEING A CAREER FIRE FIGHTER, I FEEL JAYCO IS NOT ONLY PUTTING THERE CONSUMERS IN HARMS WAY, BUT THE REST OF US ON THE ROAD. *TR
