The Instrument Panel Cluster has failed and is blank rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive as vital information is not being presented to the driver. Despite this Jeep Gladiator having been produced and sold in 2020, Stellantis Recall and Customer Service Departments are claiming that the VIN does not indicate there is Recall coverage despite the 2019-2024 NHTSA Safety Recall for this known failure. see: [XXX] The local dealer, Hilltop Jeep, in Richmond, CA has confirmed the failure of the Instrument Panel. Stellantis is not willing to remedy the problem. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
When the windshield wipers are turned on all the dash lights go out. There were no warning lights to warn me of an issue with the electrical system. I called a Jeep Wave Specialist, and I was told to take my Jeep to a dealer to diagnosis the problem.
Gauge cluster went blank randomly, no prior warnings, it just went out while driving. It has been at the dealership getting worked on, in which they stated this is an issue they have seen with other jeeps. I find this to be a safety issue since you can't immediately view how much gas you have, miles in the car, speed while driving. It has not been inspected by any other entity other than the Opelika Jeep Dealership in Alabama.
The instrument panel cluster has short circuited and failed preventing the display of critical safety information such as speed, fuel levels, and engine temperature, etc. This is the same issue that other jeep gladiators have a recall for code NHTSA recall 24V652, but the service department says my jeep that has the exact same issue is not covered. There was no warning and the dash went out while driving. Please add my vin to the list that should be on the recall so that I can have my jeep repaired by the manufacturer for the safety of everyone around me.
Driving on hwy at 55 miles per hours complete power loss. No engine no electrical. I was able to coast to stop but was not able to activate hazards . I had just had the aux battery for auto start stop replaced by lithia Jeep dealer in corpus Christi
My entire Electrical system failed, the engine wouldnt start , the warning flashers would not work, the vehicle wouldnt go into neutral to be pushed. So I was blocking an intersection for about 2 hrs waiting on a tow truck to tow it to the nearest dealership. The dealership was unable to reproduce the problem just wants to replace the end result of a 150 amp fuse block blown at $400 for a $50 part. I attached what was actually going on with the vehicle in PDF format I researched on Gladiator forum and Jeep Garage forums and found this is a problem for many jeep models with the dual battery system but nobody had an answer as to why it happens other than something shorted out.
I recently purchased this vehicle used, while driving the lights go off and the vehicle shuts off while moving. Not displaying any warning indicators at the time. Luckily vehicle is a manual, so I have been able to coast to a stop safely. Situation could be very dangerous. Once off the vehicle will go dead and won't restart. After a few moments vehicle will restart until the problem occurs again without warning. Jeep/chrysler has obvious issues with this vehicle and has not done any recalls. Even though they have documented occurrences with similar vehicles.
Center rear brake light failed. Detected 18 months after purchase.
Ever since my Jeep Gladiator had recall 21V-028 performed my reverse lights and reverse camera do not work. Harr Dodge of Worcester Ma did the recall. I now can not get a Ma state inspection sticker because these lights do not work. I took the Jeep to another dealer to repair but they refused. No problems with the vehicle before the recall was done.
I PURCHASED THE JEEP ON 12/30/2019. IT HAD 1,200 MILES WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN 4WD AND ABS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON TO INDICATE FAILURE. I HIT THE BRAKES AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHEN I COULD NOT STOP AT A RED LIGHT.*DT CONSUMER IS CURRENTLY WAITING ON DIAGNOSIS AND NO REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE. DURING THE ACCIDENT CONSUMER HAD NECK, BACK, AND SHOULDER INJURIES. POLICE REPORT HAS BEEN FILED CASE [XXX]. Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
