2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Suspension Problems

I am the owner of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. I received notification of Safety Recall 89D, NHTSA Campaign 26V-562, regarding a rear coil spring that may not be correctly installed and could detach from the vehicle while driving, creating a road hazard and risk of crash or injury. I contacted my dealership to schedule the repair. I was told the recall remains open and is listed as "Incomplete, parts unavailable." The dealership was not able to give me any timeline for when the replacement parts would be in stock, and I have received no communication from the manufacturer with an estimated repair date. I have no indication from Jeep as to when parts will be available to complete this repair. This is a serious concern for my family. I am the primary driver of this vehicle, and I use it daily to transport my two young children to school and other activities. Knowing that this vehicle has a documented defect that could cause a rear coil spring to detach while driving, with no timeline for repair, is deeply distressing to me as a parent. My children's safety depends on this vehicle functioning correctly every time we are on the road, and I should not have to choose between driving a vehicle I know has an open safety defect and finding another way to transport my kids indefinitely. I am filing this complaint to formally document that this recall remains open with no parts available and no manufacturer timeline, and to ask that NHTSA take into account the real safety risk this poses to families with young children who have no choice but to continue driving these vehicles while a fix remains unavailable. The steering started to feel intermittently difficult and then would release. It has been looked at by 2 mechanics and they report that it appears to be a structural failure of the front strut. The strut tower has separated from the body, the adhesive has failed, the rivets have broken loose, and the movement is causing the strut tower to contact the steering shaft resulting in intermittent binding of the steering. All involved believe this is a serious safety defect and a manufacturing issue. Because the car is out of warranty Jeep is denying any reasonability. There have been no accidents with this vehicle and no inciting event.

I am reporting that the vehicle is having a constant knocking sound and weird rocking driving problem when in motion leading to pulling to one side and uneven balancing even with perfect alignment and no alignment issues. Vehicle has been serviced at the dealership without any remedy to the problem and was informed that other vehicles for the same model type Jeep 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Control Arms and other components were replaced and the problem was not resolved

Started driving home and heard the vehicle making clinking noises. Then the service 4wd light came on. It slips in shifting almost like the vehicle shuts down for a sec and then comes back. When you are sitting the vehicle will randomly jerk forward even in park mode. Like the brake releases and then comes back. It's very unsafe and with it shifting the way it does the actuator is failing which in return will cause a very bad accident. This car can just shut down at any given moment.

Dear Agency I have got big problem. I am writing to request urgent assistance regarding a serious safety issue with my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2021 (WL) L, imported by me (private) from the U.S. market to Poland. I have recently noticed on web recall site about a 4 recall but 2 of them are very serious campaign concerning the replacement and repair of the rear springs and second - control arm nuts. The campaign was not performed earlier in USA. My vehicle is affected by first issue — the right rear spring is dislodging, which has been confirmed by inspection in goverment cars controling station in Poland. I have already contacted two authorized Jeep service centers in Poznan, Poland: Jeep Service Złotniki, Obornicka 4 street [XXX] and Jeep Service, Świętego Michała Street 20 [XXX] , as well as I contacted Jeep Polska Headquarters. [XXX] Unfortunately, all of them informed me that they do not perform the recall repair, despite the fact that this defect poses a serious safety risk while driving. I recived information thad Jeep in USA do not pay for this recall and Jeep Polska do not perform any recall in POLAND for USA Cars. I could not imagine what it is possible. My car is dangerous for me and my family. I tried to contact Jeep Headquaters in USA without succes :( There are no email to contact recall office, only phonecall and I could not proceed it by my Polish phone number :( My vehicle details: VIN: [XXX] I kindly ask for your help in resolving this issue and ensuring that the recall repair can be performed. The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH over railroad tracks, the rear of the vehicle started swaying temporarily. Additionally, the contact stated that the failure recurred while driving over a bumpy road surface or a pothole. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the rear suspension had failed due to an impact; however, the contact informed the dealer that the vehicle had only driven over a bump on the road. The dealer verified that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V132000 (Suspension, Steering); which the contact related to the failure. The dealer determined that the lower control arms, the shocks, the axle shaft boots, and the sway bar end link needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the collateral damage repair could not be covered under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not yet received the recall notice. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
