Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The kickstand spring gets week. Also the steel material that the kickstand attaches to wears off leaving the kickstand loose. It leaves the kickstand with the possibly of falling down with the risk of causing the rider to wreck and lose control of the motorcycle.

I HAVE A 2006 KAWASAKI 900 VULCAN THAT I BOUGHT LAST YEAR. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHEN I AM RIDING THE THROTTLE WILL STICK WHEN I LET GO OF IT. IT DOESN'T STICK IN THE FULL OPEN POSITION, ONLY PART THROTTLE BUT IT DOES SCARE ME. I HAVE READ ABOUT MANY PEOPLE HAVING THIS PROBLEM ON A KAWASAKI MOTORCYCLE FORUM BUT KAWASAKI DOESN'T WANT TO ADDRESS IT AND FIX IT. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
