What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Kenworth T2000, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

AFTER RESEARCHING MY PROBLEM WITH THIS TRUCK I WAS AMAZED TO DISCOVER THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH KENWORTH AND PETTERBULT TRUCK'S! THE FRAME RAILS, THE VERY FOUNDATIONS OF THESE TRUCK'S ARE DEFECTIVE RIGHT OUT OF THE FACTORY! A KENWORTH BODY MAN WORKING FOR KENWORTH TOLD ME THAT THEY DON'T PUT ENOUGH PAINT ON THE FRAME THAT IS ASSEMBLED AND THEN PAINTED AS ONE UNIT ! IN HIS OPINION ALL PARTS SHOULD BE PANITED AND THEN ASSEMBLED! I AGREE. I'VE GOT A TRUCK THAT NEEDS TWO NEW FRAME RAILS THAT WILL COST $14000.00 TO REPAIR TRUCK! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! AND I'M TOLD THAT THE TRUCK ISN'T SAFE FOR THE ROAD! THE RAILS ARE RUSTING OUT! WHAT IF NO ONE CAUGHT THIS! I'M TOLD THAT IF IT COMES APART THERE'S NO CONTROLLING THE TRUCK! KENWORTH TELLS ME THAT THEY ARE CHANGING FRAME RAILS ALL THE TIME. THIS IS EVIDENCE TO ME THAT THEY NEED TO BE MADE TO DO A FACTORY RECALL ON THERE TRUCK'S THAT APPARENTLY HAS SHOTTY WORKMANSHIP! THE SAFTY OF THE MOTTERING PUBLIC IS AT RISK! AND KENWORTH AND PETERBUILT SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, THANK YOU AND I HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
