What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Kzrv Escalade, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I BOUGHT MY RV, 2006 KZ MONTEGO BAY 36FT. FIFTHWHEEL FROM CCRV IN CORPUS CHRISTI,TX 2 YEARS AGO. IT WAS A NEW MODEL. THE TIRES ON THE RV WERE FREESTAR BRAND, ST235 80R16, LOAD RANGE 'G' AND THE DOT IS TCI 4705 ON 3 TIRES AND TCI 4805 ON THE OTHER 2 TIRES. ON AUG. 2, 2008 WHILE DRIVING TO AN RV PARK, ONE OF THE TIRES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BLEW OUT. ON AUG. 4, 2008 WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM THE RV PARK, ANOTHER TIRE, ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, BLEW OUT. BOTH BLOWOUTS RESULTED IN EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO MY RV AND I WAS LUCKY THAT WE DID NOT HAVE A BAD ACCIDENT. I CONTACTED THE TIRE DEALER, TIRECO INC., 500 W. 190TH ST., GARDENA, CA 90248, TEL. (310) 604-8760 AND REPORTED THE TIRE FAILURE. THE TIRES AT THIS TIME HAD LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON THEM. I HAD MY RV REPAIRED AND I SENT THE DAMAGED TIRES TO TIRECO INC. SO THAT THEY COULD INSPECT THEM AND REIMBURSE ME FOR THE NEW SET OF TIRES I BOUGHT TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE SET OF TIRES THAT WERE DAMAGED. I SENT THE DAMAGED TIRES TO THEM ON AUGUST21, 2008 AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE TIRES I BOUGHT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FROM YOU THE LOAD RATING OF THIS TIRE. MY RV'S WEIGHT IS 15,700 LBS AND HAS TWO (2) AXLES. I EXAMINED TWO OF THE REMAINING TIRES FROM THE ORIGINAL SET OF FOUR AND FOUND THAT THE RUBBER PLYS INSIDE OF THE TIRE WERE "SEPARATED" SO THEY WERE READY TO "BLOWOUT" ALSO. I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS PARTICULAR TIRE WERE THE CORRECT TIRES FOR MY RV OR WHETHER THE TIRES WERE OVERLOADED TO BEGIN WITH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. IF YOU NEED MORE INFORMATION PLEASE REPLY. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
