2017 Kzrv Venom Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE 2017 K-Z VENOM 5TH WHEEL TOY HAULER HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE FRAME BEING WEAK AND FLEXING. I KNOW OF 3 OF THESE UNITS AT ONE SMALL DEALERSHIP IN ATHENS, TEXAS (ATHENS RV) THAT A HAVE FLEX IN THE FRAME THAT ACCORDING TO INFORMATION FROM SEVERAL SOURCES INDICATE THAT THERE IS NO FIX. THE FRAME IS MADE BY LIPPERT AND WAS ALLEGED SHORTENED WHEN THEY MADE THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. LIPPERT SENT A TECHNICIAN TO TEXAS TO FIX THE ISSUE, BUT THE DEALERSHIP DISCOVERED AFTER THE TRAILER WAS REASSEMBLE THAT THE FRAME WAS STILL FLEXING AFTER THE "FIX". ONE OF THE UNITS IS SO BAD THAT THE OWNERS HAVE BEEN ASKED NOT TO PICK UP THE UNIT, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEED THE TRAILER, FOR FEAR THAT THE WEAK FRAME COULD LEAD TO A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHILE TOWING. RATHER THAN REPLACE THE UNITS, AS REQUESTED BY THE DEALER, KZ CONTINUES TO SAY THE PROBLEM IS LIPPERT'S. *TT

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
