Fuel system

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated there was an abnormally strong gasoline odor inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that there was condensation underneath the vehicle while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel flange was cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated noticed an abnormal fuel odor coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact noticed fuel leaking towards the bottom of the fuel tank. The vehicle was diagnosed with a defective fuel tank flange. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 94,800.

Airbags

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover LR2. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. The VIN was not available.
VEHICLE WAS MOVING FORWARD AND T-BONED ON THE SIDE BY A SMALLER VEHICLE. VEHICLE ROLLED OVER ON TO ITS ROOF. SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER (LAND ROVER SOUTHWEST HOUSTON, 10150 SOUTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77074, (844) 894-5469) WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT PLANNED ON TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.

Transfer case failure due to seals leaking, resulting in oil leak and rendering the vehicle inoperable. Repairs estimated at $2,261-$7,500 by authorized Range Rover service center in Grand Rapids, MI.
