The contact's wife owns a 2008 Lexus GS 450H. The contact stated while attempting to park and depressing on the brake pedal but the vehicle accelerated independently and hit a lamp post. The contact stated the air bags did not deploy. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. A police report was not filed. A dealer was not contacted. The contact stated he experienced the failure for a second time on August 16, 2021. The contact stated while attempting to park and depressing the brake pedal to the floor but the vehicle accelerate independently and crashed into the wall. The contact stated the check stabilizer track and the check system warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated the air bags did not deploy. The contact stated no one was injured nor sought medical attention. A police report was not filed. The contact took the vehicle to local dealer, where it was being serviced at the moment. The contact owns a 2008 Lexus GS 450 Hybrid. The contact stated that after his vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle, the check engine light was illuminated and the vehicle was not able to start. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was not related to the collision but that the hybrid transmission cooling pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
