What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1995 Lexus GS300, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

AS I PULLED UP AND MADE A LEFT TURN INTO THE DRIVEWAY AT MY PARENT'S HOUSE, I HEARD A LOUD CLUNK AND THE CAR DROPPED TO THE GROUND AND COULD NOT BE MOVED AND SO IT DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RESIDENTIAL STREET. I CAME OUT AND FOUND THAT IT WAS MY LOWER BALL JOINT AND IT HAD BROKE OFF THE ROD WAS ACTUALLY SHEARED OFF FROM THE JOINT. I HAVE THE CONTROL JOINT THAT WAS BROKEN. LEXUS SAYS THAT MY CAR IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL BUT I DISAGREE AND FEEL THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. HAD THIS BROKE OFF AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN BIG TROUBLE.
