1999 Lexus LS Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WHILE SLOWLY MAKING A TURN WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE MY CAR SURGED FORWARD. I TRIED TO CONTROL THE CAR BY PUSHING MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD WITHOUT SUCCESS. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR FROM MOVING ONLY BY PUTTING IT ON PARK. THE SURGE WAS VERY SUDDEN AND UNCONTROLLABLE. THIS IS SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED. PLEASE INVESTIGATE. *TR
