2005 Lexus LX Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

JUNE 18, 2020, I PURCHASED MY 2005 LEXUS LX 470 FROM A DEALER SHIP LOCATED AT MARYLAND. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF ROTTING FRAME. WHEN I RECEIVED MY VEHICLE, I LOOKED UNDER IT AND KNOTICE THERE WAS REALLY BAD RUST ON THE FRAME. I TOUCHED AND AND MY FINGER POKED THROUGH IT. I TRIED CALL THE DEALER RIGHT AWAY, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THEY WERE CLOSING AND SAID I HAD TO CALL BACK MONDAY 6/22/2020. I HAVE KIDS AND THE FRAME IS UNSAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE IT. I LOOKED UP FRAME RECALLS ONLINE BUT THERE WAS NON. BUT THERE WAS PLENTY OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FRAME RUST.
