Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2016 Lexus NX200T, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LEXUS CARLSBAD (5444 PASEO DEL NORTE, CARLSBAD, CA 92008) WHERE THEY DETERMINED THAT THE ABS ACTUATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I ENTER THE VEHICLE, APPLY MY FOOT TO THE BRAKE TO START THE VEHICLE, ENGAGING THE REAR END LIGHTS. I KEEP MY FOOT APPLIED TO THE BRAKES, NOT SHIFTING THE CAR OUT OF PARK, WHILE I RESEARCHED DIRECTIONS TO MY DESTINATION. MY VEHICLE REMAINED STATIONARY I REALIZED I HAD FORGOTTEN SOMETHING, SO DISENGAGE THE BREAKS AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. I BEGIN TO EXIT AND AS MY SECOND LEG IS HALF WAY OUT, THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO ROLL BACKWARDS. I WAS ALMOST PINNED BY A STREET SIGN, AND AFTER AN UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT TO GET IN AND GAIN CONTROL, MY NEIGHBOR HOLLERED FOR ME TO LET IT GO, AS THE BACK END OF THE VEHICLE FORCED ME TO BE PUSHED TO THE GROUND. IT PROCEEDS DOWN THE HILL MAKING CONTACT W FOUR VEHICLES.
