2019 Lexus UX200 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2019 Lexus UX200, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I LEASED THE 2019 LEXUS UX 200 FOR MY DAUGHTER IN NOVEMBER 2019. MY DAUGHTER WAS PARKING THIS CAR IN OUR GARAGE IN FEB 2020. AS PER THE ADVERTISED LEXUS PRE-COLLISION FEATURE FOR THIS MODEL, THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO COME TO AN AUTOMATIC STOP WHEN IT DETECTS AN OBJECT IN FRONT OF IT. THE CAR DID NOT DETECT THE REFRIGERATOR IN FRONT OF IT AND CRASHED INTO IT. SINCE THAT DAY, MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN AFRAID OF DRIVING. I REACHED OUT TO LEXUS AND ASKED THEM FOR THEIR HELP BUT THEY HAVEN'T RESPONDED DESPITE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. DETAILS FROM LEXUS WEBSITE: HTTPS://WWW.LEXUS.COM/SAFETY "SHOULD IT DETECT A POTENTIAL FRONTAL COLLISION, IT CAN HELP AUTOMATICALLY BRAKE THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. " THE LEXUS UX DID NOT BEHAVE AS THE ABOVE LINE SAYS AND ALSO WHAT I WAS LEAD TO BELIEVE WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR. *TR
